This series aims to overturn a certain order of things through the use of symbolic hierarchies. The summoned images are thus subverted: the luxurious silks of Lyon become simple faded cartoon boxes; the machine tools turn into the decorative features of a wallpaper; the floral plates of Indochina produce the background of a grimacing mask; the tools of the peasantry take their place on the background of an image constructed like the warning posters displayed in the factories; the containers assigned to domestic tasks give rhythm to an avant-garde choreography.
These elements evoke different daily lives: between the enjoyment of beautiful luxury objects and the tools of peasant or worker, the allocation of tasks to one gender rather than another, the partition of the world between those who have power and those who do not.
